Mike Moore founded Triangle Plastics in 1984 and sold the company in 1998 to Clarion Technologies which later became CK Technologies, (a well-known heavy truck Tier I molder). Mikes entrepreneurial instincts struck again, and he purchased his original plant building back from CK, along with 4 machines that had not been relocated to CK facilities. Starting with just those machines, Moore Industries was born in August of 1999.
Moore industries embarked on a steady and responsible series of expansions from then to today. Several additions were made to the original 4,000 sqft facility, and an existing building next door was purchased, bringing total space to 84,000 sqft. We have 20 machines ranging from 132 ton to the 2000 ton range. Moore currently has a workforce of 85 employees.
2013
North end high bay expansion. Added 6,000 sq ft for additional warehouse space.
2015
North end high bay expansion. Added 12,000 sq ft encompassing 2 new molding bays and 1 warehouse bay.
2016
The additional next-door building of 18,000 sqft purchased.
2017
Added an east end multiuse area for meetings and flex space, combined with a new break room for employees of 1,700 sqft. This allowed for large group training sessions, as well as providing a comfortable break area for our employee team members.
2022
Expanding the plant once again with an 18,000 sqft. addition, rebuilding and raising the roof on the original building to allow continuous crane rails and expanded mezzanine office space. Five new Fanuc robots have been purchased to allow for continued automation growth.
Future
Moore continues to expand to meet the needs of our growing customer base. We have additional land to build out on with the ultimate goal of extending to our next door building under one roof.
Moore is set to retain its culture based on the team approach. Three of the founder’s daughters are involved as the second generation of the business. As this generation has grown into new roles running the day-to-day operations and plans for eventual ownership, Mike concentrates on sales, engineering and expansion efforts. Although a family business at heart, Moore stays focused on strong procedures and operational control in all areas of the business to deliver the results of our customer’s demand. Moore values its employees, and they share ownership vision for delivering these same results.
